Ukrainian art exhibition in Qatar
On May, 2nd 2015 in the Cultural Complex "Katara" (Doha, Qatar), under the patronage of the Embassy of Ukraine, an exhibition of works by Ukrainian artist Andrey Chornovil was innaugurated. Within the vernissage there is about 30 works of young artists, students of Kyiv Palace of children and youth aged 6 to 12 years. Overall at the exhibition more than 60 art paintings were presented.
The official ceremony was attended by the Director General of "Katara" Dr. Khalid Al Suleity, ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Iran, Moldova, Poland, Tajikistan, Hungary, the US and Georgian diplomats, representatives of Ukrainian community, Qatari establishment and others.
Ukrainian art exhibition was the first event of its kind in the history of bilateral relations with Qatar which proved the willingness of the parties to intensify cooperation in the field of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, in which the Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Yevgen Mykytenko and Ukrainian diplomatic mission staff took part, was widely illustrated by Qatari print media and TV.
The exhibition will run until May 14 this year incl.
