Ambassador of Ukraine in Qatar Mr.Yevhen Mykytenko met with the CEO of the Qatari international airlines "Qatar Airways" Mr. Akbar Al-Baker .

The parties discussed the prospects of launching a direct air service between Kyiv and Doha on the basis of the acting intergovernmental agreement on air services between Ukraine and Qatar. In his turn, Mr.Akbar Al-Baker expressed his confidence in the need for such step, which meets the interests of both countries.

"Qatar Airways" is one of the largest airlines in the world that is rapidly developing. Currently, the company's fleet consists of 134 modern aircrafts, which fly to 135 destinations. In addition, over the next few years  "Qatar Airways" is supposed to receive 13 Airbus A- 380- 800 aircrafts along with 51 Boeing 787-Dreamliner aircrafts.
