On July 19, 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine in Qatar Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko visited the residence of the Ambassador of Indonesia in Doha to express condolences for the victims of the "Malaysian Airlines" downed aircraft Boeing-777 which was shot down in the skies over Ukraine on 17 July of this year.
On July 20, 2014 the Head of Ukrainian diplomatic mission made a note in the book of mourning at the Embassy of Malaysia in Qatar and also had a talk with his Malaysian counterpart, which emphasized the need for urgent transparent and impartial international investigation into the details of this tragedy and punishment of those responsible.
