On December 18, 2014 on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar in Doha a military parade which was attended by the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Al Thani took place.

In the event as honorary guests members of the ruling family, government, parliament of Qatar as well as diplomats, including the Ambassador of Ukraine Yevhen Mykytenko, were present.

On the occasion of the National Day of Qatar President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin sent greeting cables to their Qatari counterparts.
