On February 17, 2015 a working meeting between the Ambassador Yevhen Mykytenko with the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Mr. Mohammed Al-Sebei took place with the attandance of the Ukraine`s embassy staff. During the meeting the sides reviewed a series of bilateral issues in consular domain.

According to local party, the competent authorities of Qatar currently use additional administrative and technical measures to expand their opportunities to increase the number of visas issued each year to visit Qatar for business or tourism purposes.

The sides noted with pleasure the absence of problems in Ukrainian-Qatari relations in general and particularily in the consular field.

In turn, the Qatari interlocutor thanked the Ukrainian side for the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adoption of a resolution on 23/09/2014 p. №482 for dismissal of the citizens of Qatar, the UAE and Kuwait from obtaining invitation letters to visit Ukraine for a short-stay visits (visa type "C") which are issued for foreigners visiting ukraine for tourism.
