Between 10-13 April, 2016 in Doha under the patronage of Sheikha Hind Al Thani, Executive Director of "Qatar Foundation", the third international competition of Arabic schools called "Doha Debates 2016" was held. It was attended by teams from over 50 countries, including Ukraine.

The composition of our team consisted of students from the Arabic "Al-Madina Al-munawara" school in Kyiv. During their participation in the debates the Ukrainian team has defeated their counterparts from Egypt, Oman, Singapore and the Czech Republic.

The national team of Qatar has succeeded in stopping the successful performance of the Ukrainian team, which in the "play-off" has qualified to the next round of the competition.

Debates` participants were offered to tackle current political and socio-economic issues in respect of which each team had to provide arguments for their possible ways of solutions.

Ukraine team in this competition was coached by the Head of the "Arab House" NGO Mr. Salah Zakut.

On 13-th of April, 2016 the Ukrainian participants and their instructor visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Qatar, where they held a meeting with the Ambassador H.E. Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko and embassy staff.
