On October 18, 2016 in the capital of Qatar Doha with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine and in cooperation with the Ukrainian art agency New Visions Production the exhibition of Ukrainian art commemorated to the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine was innaugurated.

It featured works of more than 10 Ukrainian artists from different regions of Ukraine.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the cultural village KATARA, where the mentioned exhibition took place, as well as heads of diplomatic missions, members of the diplomatic corps, journalists, art connoisseurs from the residents of Qatar along with our countrymen.

The Ambassador of Ukraine in the State of Qatar H.E. Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko addressed the audience with a welcoming speech in which he stressed the importance of strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation as a an integral part of comprehensive development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Qatar.

Exhibition of Ukrainian artists will take place from 18 to 30 October

The event aroused great interest on the part of local culture and art activists and was widely covered by leading media of Qatar.

The official opening ceremony was also attended by members of the Embassy of Ukraine in Qatar.
