On November 1st, 2016 the Ambassador of Ukraine to Qatar H.E. Mr.Yevhen Mykytenko togther with other accredited heads of diplomatic missions in Doha attended the opening ceremony of the jubilee 45 th session of the Advisory Board of "Shura" (Parliament) of Qatar.

In the courtroom the participants of the meeting were greeted by the Emir of Qatar H.H. Sheikh Tamim Al Thani and the Chairman of the Advisory Council H.E. Mohamed Al Khuleify.

In their speeches, leaders of Qatar stressed that, despite the fall in energy prices, Qatar managed to keep a high pace of economic growth at 3.6% in 2015, which is one of the highest in the world.

The priorities of foreign policy of Qatar are still foucsed on strengthening multilateral cooperation with brotherly member countries of the Gulf Council, solving the Palestinian problem and the settlement of the conflict in Syria, as well as on the fight against international terrorism and extremism.

The Advisory Board is an advisory body of the government, all 35 members of which are appointed by the Emir of Qatar.
