On April 12, 2017 the Ambassador of Ukraine to Qatar H.E. Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko took part in the round table organized by the diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan in Doha to discuss the main provisions of the report of the President of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev delivered on January 31, 2017 aimed at approving of the national development program of the country until year 2050 under title "The third modernization of Kazakhstan: global competitiveness."

 During the meeting participants exchanged views on current trends of political and socio-economic development of the post-Soviet states as well as analyzed the current threats and challenges the countries of Central Asia, East and Southeast Europe encounter.

 At the roundtable the Ambassador of Ukraine made his remarks in which he informed the participants about the progress of the reforms that took place in Ukraine with particular stress on the fight against corruption, implementation of the policy of decentralization, rule of law, police reform etc.

 

Separately Ukrainian diplomat highlighted the successes achieved in the sphere of macroeconomic stabilization, cutting inflation, modernization of energy sector etc.
