On May 15, 2017 during the visit to Doha in the Foreign Ministry of Qatar the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Sergiy Kyslytsya held meeting and talks with the Director of the Department for European Affairs at the Foreign Ministry of Qatar H.E. Mr. Salem Al-Jaber, during which both parties reviewed the current state of Ukrainian-Qatari cooperation and noted the positive dynamics of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the high level of cooperation between Ukraine and Qatar in international organizations.

H.E. Mr. Sergiy Kyslytsya thanked Qatar for its consistent stand on issues supporting international initiatives aimed at protecting Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, especially in the framework of the UNGA.

Special attention was paid to the peaceful settlement of conflicts in the Middle East and on the African continent, combating terrorism, ways to overcome the consequences caused by the crisis of refugees etc.

Prospects of exchange of visits of highest level were tackled.

It was agreed to maintain regular contacts between the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and the State of Qatar to coordinate the entire range of issues of the bilateral relations` agenda.

The talks were attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Qatar H.E. Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko and the embassy staff.
