On May 15, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Qatar Yevhen Mykytenko held meeting with the Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar Mohamed Al Sada.

During the meeting, parties reviewed cooperation between Qatar and Ukraine in the energy sphere, particularly prospects of supplying Qatar LNG to Ukraine and ways of improvement of the legal basis of Qatari-Ukraine cooperation in this domain.

The sides also discussed ways to deepen cooperation in the industrial sector and prospects for leading Ukrainian producers of oil and gas equipment at the Qatari market.

Agreements have been reached to proceed with a bilateral dialog at the level of specialized bodies and enterprises of both countries.
