On February 18-19, 2019 the Ukrainian delegation led by Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova paid a working visit to the State of Qatar, where held meetings and negotiations with Minister of Finance of Qatar Ali Al Emadi, Chief Executive Officer of the Qatar Investment Authority Mansoor Al Mahmoud, top management of the Qatari leading banks – Qatar National Bank, Qatar Central Bank and others.

The Sides discussed the economic development in both countries, perspectives of the investment cooperation in various fields. Oksana Markarova informed Qatari partners on the progress of Ukraine in implementation of reforms over the recent years in the state banking sector.

The Parties agreed to maintain bilateral contacts, in particular, within the specialized international events and to examine the opportunities in execution of the projects of common interest.

During the visit the Ukrainian delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Ukraine in the State of Qatar and diplomats of the Embassy.
