On July 29, 2020, Ambassador of Ukraine to Qatar H.E.Andrii Kuzmenko held a meeting with Mr.Mohamed Al-Sada, Chief Executive Officer of the top Qatari company in the food and agri-business sectors “Hassad Food”.

During the meeting interlocutors evaluated the results of bilateral cooperation, discussed new opportunities and offers of Ukraine related to promotion of cooperation in agricultural sphere and agreed on the upcoming joint activities for the nearest future. Counselor for trade and economic Affairs of the Ukrainian Embassy Mr.Volodymyr Kuruts also participated in the meeting.

Qatari side underlined its interest in increasing the volume of bilateral trade in agricultural goods, in particular in imports of Ukrainian grains, poultry products, sunflower oil, etc, as well as in possible participation of Ukraine in implementation of the strategic food security projects in Qatar.

Both Sides discussed particular ways for expansion of the cooperation with the Ukrainian agro-industrial sector. A number of promising investment projects related to the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex were handed over to the Qatari side for its consideration.
