On February 28, 2021 Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the State of Qatar held in Doha (Qatar) next round of political consultations, which was co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Chief Digital Transformation Officer H.E. Dmytro Senik and Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Dr. Ahmad Al Hammadi.

The parties discussed steps for further development of Ukrainian-Qatari cooperation in the political, trade, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The interlocutors praised the steady dynamics of the annual growth of trade turnover, which in 2020 reached the highest figures in the history of bilateral relations - 139 USD.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of food security of Qatar.

The Deputy Minister and the Secretary General also discussed the development of the legal framework and cooperation within international organizations.

Dmytro Senik and Ahmed Al Hammadi agreed to continue the practice of holding political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries on a regular basis.
