On June 1-3 in Doha ( Qatar ) the 70th Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association ( IATA ) was held.

For the first time in almost a centenary history of this respected organization such event was held in the territory of the Cooperation Council of the Arab Gulf Member State.

The opening ceremony was attended by , Emir of Qatar , Sheikh Tamim Al Thani (pictured below) and the Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Qatar , Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani , a number of Qatari officials.

The event was attended by more than 1,200 representatives of aircraft building corporations, international airlines, domestic carriers worldwide.

Ukraine's delegation at the meeting was represented by the President of Ukraine International Airlines Mr.Yuri Miroshnikov.
