On June 10-th, 2014 the Ambassador of Ukraine in Qatar Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko visited the office of the High Committee  for the FIFA World Cup "Qatar 2022" and met with the Director of the Department of sports facilities Mr. Ghanim Al-Kuwari.
During the negotiations, the Qatari side presented a brief presentation on the status of preparations for the forthcoming FIFA 2022 world soccer mundial haveing focused on infrastructure projects related to the construction of new stadiums, training facilities,  road networks, subway, hotels and other facilities necessary for the proper organization of that outstanding event.
For his part, Ambassador drew attention of the Qatari partners to the large experience of the Ukrainian compnaies in the field of construction and engineering gained during the preparation and conducting of different big sporting events, especially, the European Football Championship in 2012.
Upon the recommendation of the Higher Committee for the World Cup "Qatar 2022 'appropriate mechanisms for cooperation between Ukrainian and Qatari companies can be defined within the acting partnerships programs  between the Chambers of Commerce of both countries.
