From 16 to 23 June, 2014 in Doha the Donetsk National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after  Anatoly Solovianenko toured Qatar.

Ballet performance of "1001 Nights" was attended by Ukraine's ambassador to Qatar Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko and his spouse as well as the Ukrainian embassy staff and diplomats, including ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Greece, Moldova and Poland.

The above mentioned performance was also attended by the official delegation of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine headed by the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine Mrs. Olesya Ostrovska-Lyuta, who was on a business visit to Qatar on June 17-20 to participate in a UNESCO meeting.

The performances given by the Ukrainian ballet team were highly recognized by Qatari audience, and widely coveraged in local media.
