Between June 17 to June 20 the Ukrainian official delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine Mrs.Olesya Ostrovska-Lyuta is paying a visit to Qatar.
The delegation is participating in the meeting of the 38th session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO, during which a debate over the preserving of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Kyiv: St. Sophia and the surrounding monastic buildings, Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" will take place.

In addition, in the morning on June 18, 2014 the Head of the Ukrainian delegation visited the Ministry of Culture of Qatar, where a meeting with the Director of the Department for Culture and Arts Mr.Faleh Al-Hajri was held(enjoys a rank of Deputy Minister).

During the negotiations parties discussed prospects of boosting Ukrainian-Qatari cooperation in the cultural field through expanding the necessary legislative framework, as well as the exchange of folklore groups, organizing joint events, concerts, festivals, cultural weeks and etc.
