On October 20-th, 2014 in Doha (The State of Qatar) the 31-st international conference of science parks and innovation areas took place under the auspices of the International Association of Science Parks IASP with the assistance of the Qatar Science and Technology Park. This event was organized for the first time in one of the Middle East countries.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Honorary President of the Qatari research organization "Qatar Foundation" H.H. Sheikha Moza Al Misned, President of the International Association of Science Parks IASP Rick Weddle, one of the developers of online video service "Youtube" Chad Hurley, and other known figures of world science and technology.

The conference, which runs until 22 October, was attended by delegations from more than 40 countries. Ukraine's delegation at the event is represented by Mr.Vitalii Cherniuk - The CEO of corporation "Science Park Taras Shevchenko university of Kyiv."
