The leading Arab-speaking Qatari newspaper "Al-Sharq" published a broad interview with the Ambassador of Ukraine in Qatar Mr.Yevhen Mykytenko on the eve of the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine.
Responding to numerous questions of "Al-Sharq" correspondent Ms. Yara Abu Shaar, the Ambassador highlighted the current state and prospects of relations with Qatar in political, economic, energy, investment, cultural, humanitarian and tourist areas.

Special attention was paid to the measures taken by the Government of Ukraine and personally the President of Ukraine to normalize the situation in the eastern regions of our country. It was also noted to the non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea, which has the status of temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
Main achievements of Ukrainian authorities on the way to EU membership were also highlighted: primarily, the Association Agreement and its subsequent ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, putting into effect the EU unilateral preferences regarding Ukraine`s exports tec.
The interview contains information on the early parliamentary elections in Ukraine. It was also reported about the opening of the foreign polling station inside the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Qatar.
Ambassador of Ukraine invited compatriots who have registered for the elections to proceed to the ballot boxes installed in the Ukrainian embassy.
