On November 21, 2014 Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Qatar celebrated the Dignity and Liberty Day, in which the Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko together with the staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Ukrainian community visited Doha`s Orthodox Church , where a sacred liturgy was served.

The mass was conducted by the Archbishop of Qatar Makarius who in his prayers always remembers those killed and wounded in the area of counter-terrorist operation, asking God for peace, tranquility and God blessings for the Ukrainian land.
After the liturgy, the Ambassador held talks with the Archbishop, during which the cleric was thanked on behalf of the Ukrainian community for the support rendered to our country in this difficult time.

On  November 22, 2014 the Embassy of Ukraine commemorated the Anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933. To participate in memorial events the Embassy was attended by representatives of Ukrainian community with their families. The Ambassador of Ukraine in Qatar Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko addressed the assembly and thanked his compatriots for their participation in this commemorative event and briefed about the horrible tragedy of Ukrainian people - the artificial Famine of 1932-1933 .

Participants lit candles and honored Holodomor victims with a minute of silence.
