On March 31, 2015 in Doha at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Qatar the Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko participated in a round table dedicated to the upcoming 5-th Congress of World and Traditional Religions in Astana this June.

At the event the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Mr. Askar Shoukibayev , Qatar Director of International Center for Interfaith Dialogue Mr. Ibrahim Al Noaymi, heads of the Muslim and Christian communities in Qatar, heads of foreign diplomatic missions, including Ambassador of Ukraine delivered speeches.

In his address, Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko praised the efforts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and, in particular, the President Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev in supporting interreligious, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, which is particularly important at a time when a number of countries are affected by conflicts and wars, resulting from religious intolerance, xenophobia and radicalism.

Ambassador of Ukraine pointed to the efforts exerted by Ukraine for the dialogue between representatives of all world religions through the organization on its territory in 2010 Kiev interfaith forum.

Roundtable participants agreed on the importance of the participation of delegations of their countries in the planned for June this year 5-th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan.
