On April 26, 2015 during its stay in Qatar the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine, led by the MP of Ukraine, Chairman of the Group for Interparliamentary Relations with the State of Qatar Mr. Andriy Artemenko together with the Ukrainian embassy staff in Doha was received by H.E. the Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani.

The parties discussed prospects of boosting Ukrainian-Qatari cooperation in trade, investment, energy and transport sectors, areas of health, sports, tourism etc.

The composition of the delegation of Ukraine also included members of the named group in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mr. Andriy Teteruk and Mr. Denis Silantyev.

During the meeting the Head of Qatari government had been handed over an invitation to visit Ukraine on an official visit to intensify bilateral contacts in areas of mutual interest and sign a series of important bilateral agreements and documents. The invitation was accepted with thanks.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Ukraine in Qatar Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko.
