On May 21, 2015 one of Qatar's leading Arabic newspaper "Al Raya" published a lengthy interview with Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko, in which he highly valued the stence of the official Doha on the annexation of Crimea, support for the Crimean Tatar people, the prospects for trade and economic cooperation between Qatar and Ukraine.
