On October 25, 2015 the Ambassador of Ukraine Yevhen Mykytenko met Mr. Khalil al-Delaimi, a board member and CEO of the Qatari state food company "Hasad Food" - leading player of agro-industrial sector of Qatar. The company is responsible for the purchase of food for the country's needs, as well as foreign investment.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the diplomats of the Embassy and "Hasad Food" executives, the Qatari side was informed about the current state and prospects of Ukraine`s agricultural development, attractiveness of the investment climate in our country etc.

The two sides discussed ways of intensifying agricultural cooperation and possibilities to increase food stuff trade between the two countries as well as setting up investment cooperation in agriculture.

It was agreed to organize meaningful negotiations with representatives of Ukrainian agricultural companies during the International exhibition AGRITEQ-2015 in Doha on 10-12 November, 2015
