On February 17, 2016 in Doha (Qatar) the Twelfth Interfaith Doha Conference, in which the delegation of Ukraine headed by Director of the Department for Religions and Nationalities in the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine Mr. Andriy Yurash participated, was officially closed.

During their stay the head and members of the Ukrainian delegation moderated several discussion panels devoted to the issues of religious tolerance and co-existance.

The Ukrainian delegation also took part in the ceremony of signing the Agreement on cooperation between the Ukrainian center for dialogue and communication, headed by Sheikh Imad Abu Al-Rub, and the Doha International Centre for Interfaith Dialogue led by Dr.Ibrahim al-Nueymi.

On February 18, 2016 the Embassy of Ukraine in Qatar was visited by the secretary of the Holy Synod, a spokesman for the Kiev Patriarchate, Archbishop of Chernihiv and Nizhyn Yevstratii and Sheikh Imad Abu Al-Rub. After the meeting with the staff of the diplomatic mission the Bishop Yevstratii consecrated Embassy and  blessed the Embassy staff for good deeds and service to Ukraine and its people.
