On the July 20, 2016, Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Qatar Yevhen Mykytenko was invited to the Advisory Council “Shoura” (the Parliament) where he held talks with its Deputy Head Mohammed AL-Sulaiti and Secretary General Fahd M. Al-Khayareen.

During the meeting the Qatari side was informed about the activities of Verkhovna Rada, political, military, economic and social situation in Ukraine.

Qatari MP’s supported these steps of Leadership of Ukraine aimed at promoting reforms, defense of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine which faces the external aggression.

The Parties praised positive development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, trade, medical and cultural spheres.

The members of the Advisory Council “Shoura” (the Parliament) which session will be opened in November, 2016, stressed their desire and readiness to establish the group of the Qatar-Ukraine friendship like the group which exists for more than one year in the Ukrainian Parliament.
