On July, 24, at the initiative of the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Qatar and on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine, Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko and Economic Advisor of the Embassy Mr. Volodymyr Kuruts held seminar and business panel for representatives of Arab business community. The event took place at the Headquarters of the international Organization for industrial consulting for Gulf countries - Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), with participation of Mr. Abdelaziz Al Ageel, Secretary General of GOIC and its top management.

In his speech, Ambassador dwelled upon more than 20-years history of political, trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Gulf Arab states, current political and economic situation in Ukraine and ongoing process of reforms and modernization in this country.

Counsellor V.Kuruts has made a presentation of Ukrainian economic, scientific, trade and investment potential, informed about rules and conditions of doing business in Ukraine. Various advertising and presentation materials and proposals of Ukrainian enterprises and companies were circulated among participants of the forum.

During the seminar perspectives of cooperation between Ukraine and members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (KSA, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait) were discussed, concrete steps to enhance it have been defined.

The upcoming plans have been agreed, namely - participation of representatives of GOIC in “Kiev International Economic Forum” (6-7 October, 2016) and Ukrainian businessmen in the international exhibition "COVERTECH - 2017" in Qatar (March).
