In the Qatari capital Doha the World Rapid Chess Championship 2016 has ended.

The two gold medals went to the city of Lviv. The title of women rapid chess chamion was won by the graduate of the Lviv State University of Physical Culture Ms.Hanna Muzychuk.

In the men's tournament by additional indicators the leader of the national team of Ukraine Vasyl Ivanchuk was ahead of his many rivals.

A brilliant victory in the women's tournament was gained by the Ukrainian chess player Ms. Hanna Muzychuk who is ranked in the FIDE worldwide ranking list as third.

Very dramatic struggle over the champion`s title developed for our players Anton Korobov and Vasyl Ivanchuk.

Vasyl Ivanchuk has beated the world champion in classic chess the Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, allowing Vasyl to take the lead and eventually win the championship gold medal.
