On December 20, 2016 the Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko held meeting and talks with the Cultural Adviser at the Emiri Diwan H.E. Mr. Hamad Al Kawari.

Qatari official has briefed on the results of his visit to Ukraine at the beginning of December 2016, during which he was received by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mr. Volodymyr Hroysman, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Culture, Education, Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
Hamad al-Kawari expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian side for high organizational quality and proper substantial preparation of the visit, which, he said, was very important in the context of the ongoing election campaign for the post of Director-General of UNESCO, in which Mr. al-Kawari is considered to be one of the main candidates.
