The World Social Security Forum , which is being held in the Qatari capital from 10 to 15 November under the patronage of the Emir of Qatar H.H. Sheikh Tamim Al Thani, was attended by delegations from more than 100 countries worldwide. At the opening plenary session the participants were addressed by a welcoming speech delivered by the Prime Minister of Qatar H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani.

The Forum constitutes a unique platform, through which experts in the field of social security and government officials have the opportunity to exchange experience, discuss current issues, pertaining to the provisions of social support, overcoming unemployment and implementation of pension reforms in order to develop strategies for improving the efficiency of public administration in the field of social protection.
