On July 26^th, 2017 the Ambassador Yevhen Mykytenko and Counselor for economic affairs V.Kuruts met with the Undersecretary Assistant for Agricultural Affairs and Fisheries Recourses of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment of The State of Qatar H.E. Sheikh Dr. Faleh Bin Nasser Al Thani.

According to the Qatari official, Qatar is interested in increasing the volume of bilateral trade in agricultural products, including imports of Ukrainian grains, poultry products, sunflower oil, etc., as well as in exporting dates from Qatar to Ukraine.

Sheikh F.Al Thani has also said that at this moment there are no restrictions on import of red meat, poultry meat and chicken eggs to Qatar from Ukraine.

During the meeting specific ways of expanding cooperation with the Ukrainian agro-industrial sector were discussed, and a number of proposals of leading domestic agricultural companies were handed over to the Department of agricultural development.
