On July, 26th, 2017 Ambassador Yevhen Mykytenko met the Chief Executive Officer of «Qatar Airways» Mr.Akbar Al-Baker and discussed several issues related to the launch of a direct flight between Ukraine and Qatar.

Mr. A. Al-Baker has confirmed that starting from August, 28th 2017 «Qatar Airways» will launch daily flights (7 times a week) on the “Doha-Kiev-Doha” route. Having an Airbus 320 on this route, the duration of the flight from Doha to Kyiv is 5 h 40 min, from Kyiv to Doha - 5 h 20 min, an estimated cost of a round trip economy class ticket will be around $900.

Currently, sides are working out a program of special events in Kyiv on 28-29 of August 2017, devoted to the launch of direct air flights between Ukraine and Qatar.
