On November 15, 2018 the First session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic, commercial and technical cooperation was held in Doha, co-chaired by First Vice-Prime-minister, Minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine H.E. Stepan Kubiv and Minister of trade and industry of the State of Qatar H.E.Ali bin Ahmad Al Kuwari.
Both Sides discussed the key areas of the Ukrainian-Qatari cooperation in the spheres of economy and trade, investments, transport and communications, agricultural field, energy and industry, innovations and IT sectors, tourism etc.
As the outcome of the first session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission the Sides signed the Protocol, in which they laid down the main agreements regarding further bilateral interaction in the relevant areas.
It was also held the vis-à-vis meeting and negotiations between the First Vice-Prime-minister, Minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine and the Minister of trade and industry of Qatar, during which they discussed the most promising fields of cooperation.
On the same day the First Vice-Prime-minister, Minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine held meetings and negotiations with Chief Executive officer of Qatar Investment Authority Mr.Mansour Al-Mahmoud and Assistant Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Mr. Nasser Al-Khater.
